Katrina and Bush III

This time the focus is on Barbara Bush, the mother and sensitivity mentor for George Jr., as reported in the The Independent/UK:

"Barbara Bush, the former first lady, courted controversy by pointing out that many of the people forced out of their homes by Hurricane Katrina 'were underprivileged anyway.' Mrs Bush, who joined her husband, George, on a tour of the Houston Astrodome, said: 'And so many of the people in the arena here were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them. What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality.'"

Oh, yeah, this is good isn't it? Both Gary and I have been fuming over this whole issue. Like everyone else. I have a great photo on my blog you might like.

Hm, these people might not be poor because of this administration? I mean, when was the last time the minimumn wage was raised? Or even better, maybe these people didn't have much but it's better than having nothing? Arrogance! She's a classist. True colors.

Brown is gone but who is to say Bush can't still hire his friends to screw up the country some?more. It saddens me to no end.

One of my favorites as well was Laura Bush referring to hurricane Katrina as hurricane Corina. Great.
